The V-1 or "Buzz-Bomb" was an early cruise missile used by the Germans during the latter years of WW2. These flying bombs would fly a set distance before launch and would dive to the ground, completely obliterating their target. British pilots that faced the Buzz-Bomb had an ingenious way to counter them - by tapping the it's wing against their own - which would disturb the Gyroscope inside to lead the V-1 away from it's original course. Both Military and Civilian targets across Englad were selected for these vengance attacks, only seizing once the Allied invasion of Europe drove their launch sites too far to England.
