About the PBY-5A - Flying Boat Patrol Aircraft
 
Many aircraft can be named the most underrated of the Second World War. Many fighter aircraft, bombers, early jets can take this place. But most do not have the record that the PBY Catalina has. Serving throughout the entirety of America's involvement in WW2, in the Pacific, Atlantic, Meditteranean and in use by the Soviets, the Cat racked up a notable reputation. In use by the infamous "Black Cat" Squadrons, RAAF and USN Catalinas kept the Japanese awake in the Pacific, while American, Canadian and British PBYs protected Allied convoys from German U-Boat Woflpacks, depicted in the 2020 Film 'Greyhound'.

Coming in the scheme of VPB-71 'Black Cats', this kit includes 80+ custom printed elements, 8 Minifigures with varying headgear and an M4 Tractor tow vehicle for displaying the PBY in field! Also included is a classicly inspired stand taking inspiration from old Wooden model Stands with a Golden nameplate!
 
Shipping/Ordering Process
Due to the large nature of this product, order fulfillment and shipping will take much longer than any of our other products usually take.
 
When ordering this kit, this is the process we will follow.
 
1 - Your order and payment is received, we will email you confirming this purchase and confirm that pieces have been ordered.
 
2 - Your custom printed parts will be ordered, depending on which colour scheme is chosen your order may be slightly delayed as we are provided our custom printing from MillionPrints in Canada, who fulfills other orders outside of ours.
 
3 - Parts will be sorted within 6 weeks of your order being placed, with confirmation sent of this being sent via email.
 
4 - Once the custom elements and figures arrive your order will be packed and shipped.
 
This entire process can vary in time between your order being placed and it arriving at your door, however, we are a small business and we rely on 3rd party sources, so an expected timeframe of 3 to 4 months is what we will need to fulfill your order. Delays will be announced if expected. Communication is key, so if you are worried about your order don't feel afraid to reach out to us.
